Machteld van der Gaag is a Dutch singer, but born and raised in Le Vésinet, on the outskirts of Paris.

In Amsterdam, she keeps her French roots alive by singing French Chansons. In 2018, she wins the Grand Prix du concours de la Chanson Française de l’Alliance Française aux Pays Bas with Les amis de monsieur.

Machteld performs in the Netherlands and in France, with recitals she organizes herself or by request. Her repertoire of French Chansons is broad, but Barbara is her most cherished musical love. That’s why her first CD is one with a personal choice of 15 Barbara chansons, or chansons that Barbara has sung in her time, like Les amis de Monsieur, by Vincent Scoto.

In daily life, Machteld is a trilingual voice actress.

Nico van der Linden, on the piano, is a famous and very versatile Dutch pianist. He has also provided all the piano arrangements, in the spirit of Barbara. Enjoy.
